Who We Are
Chat 1 & Done is a fan community app for the Chat 1 & Done D&D podcast, operated by Nerdy Tucson Viking Podcasts LLC. You can reach us at therealkrimsonking@gmail.com.
What We Collect
When you create an account we collect your email address and any profile information you provide through our sign-in provider (Clerk), including any social login details (e.g. Discord). We also store the adventurer profile you create in the app: your chosen display name, D&D class, race, bio, XP, stats, and achievements. Chat messages and episode comments you post are stored on our servers. If you enable push notifications, we store a push subscription token linked to your account.
How We Use It
We use your information solely to operate the app — showing your profile, tracking your XP and achievements, displaying your chat messages, and sending push notifications you have opted into. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.
Push Notifications
If you enable notifications, we send you alerts for new podcast episodes, achievements you earn, and activity in the Tavern chat rooms. You can disable notifications at any time from your Profile page or your device settings.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services: • Clerk (clerk.com) — handles account creation, login, and authentication. Their privacy policy is at clerk.com/privacy. • Upstash (upstash.com) — stores your profile, chat messages, and push subscriptions in a Redis database. • Captivate (captivate.fm) — hosts the podcast RSS feed and audio files. Their privacy policy is at captivate.fm/privacy. • Vercel (vercel.com) — hosts the app and processes web requests.
Data Retention
Your account data is retained as long as your account exists. Chat messages may be trimmed after 500 messages per room to manage storage. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing therealkrimsonking@gmail.com.
Children
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your Rights
You can access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. To delete your account, email us at therealkrimsonking@gmail.com or use the Clerk account management options on your Profile page.
Changes
We may update this policy occasionally. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
